Apeejay School is imparting computer education from class I to XII. The motto of Apeejay School is to make the children compatible to the IT world. IT technologies are upgrading day-by-day; we are also trying to cope with this trend. So apart from Windows 98 operating system we are teaching them Windows XP, Windows ME. We also upgrade our syllabus and softwares at required intervals.
We have divided our school children in three categories
1. Beginners (Class I - V)
2. Intermediate (Class VI - VIII)
3. Advanced (Class IX - XII)
In the beginners group we are giving stress to make a child computer friendly. In this category they have Paintbrush, Wordpad, MS-Office, Logo, Flash etc. Logo is a very useful application for the children by which they can draw geometrical shapes, they can calculate some fraction etc. Microsoft Word helps them to write different types of documents.
Intermediate group have Windows 98, MS- Office, Macromedia Flash, DOS, concept of RDBMS and one programming language like GW-BASIC. GW-Basic helps them to develop their logical concepts for further advanced languages like C, C++ etc.
Class IX- XII are in the advanced group. We mainly teach them advanced programming languages like C, C++ and applications like HTML, FoxPro, MS- Access.
Apart from their regular classes we are conducting a Computer Club every Saturday from 9 am to 12 noon. In the computer club we teach them some immensely used languages like Visual Basic, C++ and multimedia applications like Macromedia Flash, Photoshop, FrontPage, Cool 3D etc.
ABS Infotech is playing a vital role in the continuous development of the students in the ever-changing world of computer by gathering information of the latest technological development in this field and imparting the knowledge to the students.
A PowerPoint competition was held in both Park Street and Salt lake school organized by marketingpundit.com. Four junior groups and four senior groups took part in the Inter-School competition. ABS Infotech provided them all the information needed for the competition. In the competition from our junior group of Park Street School Manas Agarwal & Abhishek Halder got the Creditable Achievement Award and from the senior group of Park Street School Aniruddh Daga and Avinash Sharma got the Merit Award.
Computer Aided Education
To make education a more meaningful and enjoyable experience for both students and teachers, and to enhance the quality and delivery of education among the learners, the schools have introduced the system of Computer Aided Education wherein each classroom is equipped with a computer and a television, and software , specially tailor made to suit the curriculum to be taught.
