115, PARK STREET

BG-180, SECTOR II, SALTLAKE

No man is an island. The human species shines the brightest when they serve and interact with each other. Extending a helping hand to others and establishing relationship between people is the credo through which the interacters live by.

Interact is a Rotary sponsored service club for young people aged 14 to 18 years. The programme gives students the scope to participate in fun and meaningful service projects while it helps in developing leadership skills. This is a platform to meet young people from various institutions and make friends.
The young members have enthusiastically taken up ambitious projects like inspecting the public toilet with the objective of reinstalling the facilities prescribed by K.M.C. They have also started controlling traffic outside the school gate to maintain the peace of the residential area
They have organized workshops on relevant and burning issues affecting Kolkata. They also participated in the workshop presented by Ritwika Sahane on Mentally/Physically challenged children.

Interact members also collected Rs. 150,000 for the Tsunami victims.

The interact club is actively involved in the process of framing the system. The students believe in a long term project which eventually emanates concrete results with the potential to create a difference. The interact team had created a landmark in the history of urban pay and use toilets by launching an awareness project on them in collaboration in Kolkata Municipality. The project included group inspections of toilets, street plays, seminars, and symposiums. The school has won many accolades for its endeavor into social service like Better Kolkata, Telegraph School Awards and more. The recent project under taken by the school is "Each One Teach One' programme involving the Apeejay Anand Children's Library Children. After school the volunteers spend some valuable time with these deprived children to create a healthy-fun filled platform of learning. They also visit old age homes and orphanages and distribute quilts and other goody bags to the needy. Many more socially relevant projects are on the way.
