Mission<\/strong><\/p>\n

Conceptualized as a visually exciting and happy space that draws kids in, Apeejay Anand Children\u2019s Library in the Bhubaneshwar School has since 2010, become stimulating learning stations. The library offers basic reading, lending and reprographic services and delivers volunteer services to kids who are deprived of fundamental right for education<\/p>\n

The mission of the Anand Library grows in more ways than one. The Libraries are a unique Education Support Program that also helps Apeejay Education Trust under which Apeejay Schools are run to identify and sponsor education of talented children from underprivileged backgrounds.<\/p>\n

Apeejay Trust is directly collaborating with NGOs in other cities who care for urban and poor children. Anand Libraries have opened in NCR at a 24 hours shelter home for Boys, a 24 hours shelter home for girls run by Salaam Baalak Trust in Gurugram and at a 24 hour shelter home for girls in Najafgarh, in Kolkata\u2019s Khidirpur Docks in a Shelter Home run by ApneAap and in Chandigarh at a Shelter Home run by Vatsal Chaya Trust.\u00a0Click here to know about some of the children whose education has been sponsored.<\/b><\/a><\/p>\n

\u201cTHE EACH ONE TEACH ONE PROGRAMME\u201d<\/b>\u00a0initiated by the library involves the school children under the supervision of the teachers to teach the under privileged every Monday to Friday in the library in subjects like English, Mathematics, Computer science, Bengali, Hindi, Art & Craft, Dance, and Physical EducationThe library also holds the\u00a0ART WORKSHOP<\/b>\u00a0every year commemorating the birth anniversary of Anand Paul who left us untimely due to a tragic accident in the year 1989. Children from diverse socio-economic backgrounds burst into a fiesta of colours.It is a progressive attempt to bridge the gap that exists in our society.<\/p>\n

VOLUNTARY SERVICES<\/strong><\/p>\n

The library also extends its services to voluntary organizations like Mukti Rehabilitation Centre. Children from the NGO are a part of our mainstream school and they are an integral part of all events at school.<\/p>\n
