Cultivating Diverse Talents

Art Club

Art plays a vital role in developing a student’s capability for critical thinking, creativity, imagination, and innovation. Our schools have worked with thousands of children to integrate art into their educational routine, as part of a well-rounded 21st-century education. Through diverse artistic explorations encompassing visual arts, dance, drama, drawing and painting, ceramics, and construction, young minds are empowered to express themselves and create something new every week.

Along with these clubs, Salt Lake boasts The English Literature, Drama, Music, Dance, Legal, Science and Nature, French and Math clubs across sections of the school.

LEGAL CLUB

The Legal Literacy Club equips senior section members with the knowledge and confidence to face real-world issues. From the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act and bullying to navigating other cyber pitfalls, diverse topics are brought to the forefront through engaging discussions and debates.

Students also actively champion positive change by designing and distributing awareness materials in their own communities, empowering them to understand when and how to seek police intervention or even political engagement.

The club fosters a vital civic spirit and by equipping them with legal knowledge and practical skills, the Legal Literacy Club empowers them to become advocates for a safer, more just world.

SCIENCE CLUB

The Science Club organises a variety of events to foster a child’s interest in science and to help them learn how to approach problems with realistic and doable solutions. The various model- and exhibit-making competitions and projects encourage children to think outside the box and develop original ideas that can significantly improve and ease the lives of people in general. Activities like quizzes, debates, science crossword puzzles, projects, and field trips help them comprehend concepts better and develop an inquisitive mind.

NATURE CLUB

The two objectives of the nature club at Apeejay School Salt Lake are learning from nature and preventing pollution on earth. Composting on school grounds and taking part in awareness-raising activities are just a few of the tasks that the club members take on.

The club aims to instil values by raising everyone’s awareness of the need to respect and preserve Mother Nature.

HERITAGE CLUB

The Heritage Club works to educate students about the natural and cultural heritage of our nation by getting them involved in a variety of projects that will shape them into contributing members of society.

Students are taught the importance of preserving Indian crafts and cultural heritage in addition to heritage sites and monuments. The club hosts a variety of events, including poster-making, scriptwriting, and documentary filmmaking about India’s heritage sites, culture, and cuisine.

SOCIAL SERVICE CLUB

Driven by compassion and a commitment to societal good, the Social Service Club empowers students to make a difference by actively helping the less fortunate members of society. They take responsibility for their immediate environment, ensuring hygiene and dignity for all by maintaining clean and accessible restrooms. The club screens documentaries showcasing the lives of social icons like Mother Teresa and Baba Amte to inspire young minds to embrace social responsibility. The club also organises drives to collect used winter clothing, distributing them to those in need during the cold months.

The club also collaborates closely with the less fortunate students at the Apeejay Anand Library and KMC schools. It is also instrumental in raising funds and collecting clothes as part of the school’s ongoing Village Adoption Programme in Purandil.

QUIZ CLUB

JUNIOR: The young, enthusiastic learners of classes III, IV, and V comprise the Junior Quiz Club. Their journey stretches across continents, exploring the diversity of nature, Indian heritage, global celebrations like World Environment Day, and so much more! Watch the students grow more aware as they unlock the secrets of the world, one engaging quiz at a time.

SENIOR: The Senior Quiz Club thrives on friendly competition. Students actively gather fascinating facts alongside their teachers, then share their discoveries with the class.

These young scholars don’t just learn, they shine! Students from both junior and senior sections proudly represent our school at inter-school quiz competitions across the city, bringing home countless accolades.
